pimlico's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- that's a pretty nice haircut Yesterday morning, I went to the hairdressers and paid 40 pounds for a cut which is almost exactly the same is the one I've been sporting for the past 4 months. On the plus side, it looks slightly more healthy. Though my mini-fringe makes me a look a bit hitler-esque. Which worries me slightly. It's not a good look for anyone, never mind a lady. Lady? Actually I dunno about that. I had to spray my velvet-y jacket (the exact same kind of velvet-y jacket that's been a summer wardrobe staple since 1993, except the ones I wore as a teen came from Oxfam or Camden market and this one comes from Primark but still collects dust around the shoulders in the way all my previous jackets did) with Febreeze (not even Febreeze - Wilkinson's "Fabric Freshener") this morning to disguise the smell of pub. Nothing like an act of Withnail style skuzziness to remind you that it's the first day back at work after the Easter break and you're not a proper grown-up. I did slap on a little JP Gaultier to make me feel slightly more feminine. And less like an air-freshener. The post Easter-blues. The sugary goodness is to blame. Last night, I dreamt of the Pavement song Cut Your Hair, which was oddly appropriate. I also dreamt about cats with peculiar genitalia and Motley Crue, but I don't think I need to go into that. "Darling don't you go and cut your hair. Do you think it's going to make him change?" I've not heard that song for ages. And I just walked past an indie man on the way to the sandwich shop who was wearing a Pavement t-shirt.
